uniFLOW Online 2026.3 – Expanding support for Windows Ready Print

The latest release introduces enhanced automation and control for managing MEAP applet updates across device fleets. Automatic MEAP applet updates help organizations improve security, consistency, and operational efficiency while significantly reducing manual administrative effort.

Expanded Windows Ready Print support

One of the key enhancements in uniFLOW Online 2026.3 is expanded support for Windows Ready Print, Microsoft's modern driverless printing framework. Through support for the Canon Print Assistant app, users can now securely print using the Direct Secure Print feature in Windows Ready Print environments. As a result, they benefit from enhanced finishing options, automatic Microsoft Store updates, and secure job release on compatible MEAP devices across the same location.

The release also introduces important enhancements for organizations using Microsoft Universal Print. The uniFLOW Printer App is now automatically installed whenever users connect to a Universal Print queue. Consequently, deployment becomes significantly easier while users gain immediate access to advanced printing capabilities. Additionally, updates can be delivered without requiring administrative privileges, reducing support requirements while improving usability.

Smarter device lifecycle management

Keeping device software up to date is critical for maintaining security and compliance. However, scheduling updates across large device fleets can be challenging, particularly in organizations with round-the-clock operations. To address this, uniFLOW Online 2026.3 introduces new controls for automated MEAP applet updates.

Organizations can now configure specific periods when automatic updates should not occur. Therefore, critical business activities remain unaffected while software updates continue to be managed centrally.

In addition, automatic device wake-up capabilities allow sleeping devices to power on before scheduled updates, helping organizations keep fleets secure and up to date while reducing administrative effort.
