Honored for the eighth consecutive year, uniFLOW Online has once again been recognized by Keypoint Intelligence with a BLI 2026 Pick Award. This milestone marks an eight-year streak of excellence, highlighting the platform’s ongoing leadership in cloud-based print and scan management.

Lex-Jan Westra, Global Marketing Manager at NT-ware, describes how uniFLOW Online evolved over the years: “uniFLOW Online was among the first solutions to deliver 100% cloud-based print and scan management. Since its launch in 2016, we have continually developed the solution into a feature-rich, enterprise-ready platform. Today, it is a trusted choice for thousands of organizations, empowering them to monitor and safeguard printing activities, streamline scanning, optimize costs, and manage devices.”

According to Keypoint Intelligence, uniFLOW Online 2025 has won the BLI 2026 Pick Award from Keypoint Intelligence thanks to its

  • Remote device access capabilities, enabling internal IT helpdesks to remotely connect to Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE and Canon imageFORCE devices anywhere. With only an internet connection as a prerequisite, they can assist users in real-time, review settings, configure card readers, enter the device’s service mode, and verify interface configurations.
  • Secure printing features, including secure job handling and “My Print Anywhere”, mobile printing, user-roaming across locations, and driverless printing.
  • Support of the Windows Modern Print Platform: With uniFLOW Online’s Virtual Printer App, users print securely and consistently from PCs, regardless of their architecture, including ARM PCs, while adhering to the latest Microsoft security guidelines.
  • Secure and effective document scanning to help businesses streamline their digitization process and simplify their document management. With uniFLOW Online, users can securely scan to a wide variety of destinations, including various cloud services, on-premises DMS systems, and leading DMS systems such as iManage Cloud or NetDocuments.
  • Extended multi-vendor support that allows for integrating Lexmark and Sharp devices in a mixed fleet environment with Canon devices. The embedded applets support user identification, secure printing, mobile printing, usage tracking, and device-based scan-to-myself functionality.
  • Convenient budgeting support that allows for charging for printing and copying in learning and education environments. uniFLOW Online integrates with various payment providers, allowing students to top up their budget from either a PC or a mobile phone.

“uniFLOW Online delivers the modern, cloud-managed experience organizations expect, with security and usability that are second to none,” said Keith Haas, Solutions Analyst in Keypoint Intelligence’s Workplace Group.

In 2025, the software was expanded with a whole range of features, of which the following are particularly noteworthy:

Virtual Printer App to support the Microsoft Modern Print Platform

With the introduction of the Microsoft Modern Print Platform, Microsoft is transforming the way printing works. uniFLOW Online supports both the Microsoft Modern Print Platform and Windows Protected Print mode with its uniFLOW Online Virtual Printer app. To print, users simply download the app from the Microsoft Store, submit their print jobs to the cloud from PCs with Windows Protected Print mode enabled, and ARM PCs. It offers a simple and consistent printing experience, regardless of the PC architecture, without requiring additional software, and adheres to the latest Microsoft security standards.

Updating MEAP applets in Zero Trust environments

Keeping MEAP applets up to date is crucial for security and performance; however, updating devices can be time-consuming, especially in Zero Trust environments. The new, simple one-button update process enables administrators to easily update devices in Zero Trust environments, without disrupting business operations.

Extended multi-vendor support

In addition to supporting Canon and Lexmark devices, the new uniFLOW Online Embedded Applet for Sharp broadens support for mixed-fleet devices. Customers can now easily connect their Sharp printers to uniFLOW Online, providing a consistent experience and work environment for their users. Sharp devices can also operate entirely within Zero Trust environments, meeting the strictest IT network standards.
